Cambridge Capital Group

Cambridge Capital Group is a group of private investors and was the first organised group of angels in Cambridge, formed in 2000.  The 12 founding members have grown to a group of over 60 private investors, high net worth families, venture funds and corporate sponsors.  Cambridge Capital Group has offices in the new innovation hub, The Bradfield Centre on The Science Park in Cambridge. We have enjoyed nine profitable exits from the portfolio in the last five years.

The semi-formal structure and deal flow service allows qualifying wealthy individuals and private funds from the UK and abroad to invest in hi-growth tech businesses alongside investors with diverse commercial experience. Start-up investments of £100k-£1M; growth rounds of £500k-£2M. Individual investments range from £10k-500k, often via the EIS/SEIS tax relief scheme.

Cambridge Capital Group often syndicates with other specialist investors: angels, super-angels, private funds and co-investment seed funds.  We are a member of the UK Business Angels Association.

The group has been backing start-ups in the UK for two decades, focused on spinouts from Cambridge, London and Oxford “The Golden Triangle”, as well as other hi-tech start-ups in innovation centres that show high potential in their target markets.
